Paula: what if God asks you???
What do you want me to do for you?” Two blind men were screaming at Jesus as he walked by…HAVE MERCY ON US! The crowd was very annoyed and told them to be quiet. But Jesus, having compassion of course, heals their eyes and they can see!
But, before he heals them he asks them to tell him what they want him to do? Why? I mean i’m sure he knew they were blind and would like to see and he also knew what they were thinking since he was God! So why did he ask?
Well, I think he was giving the guys a chance to decide what they really wanted from him. Jesus was moved with compassion and was going to answer their prayer but he wanted to know what they wanted the most. I’m sure they wanted alot of things. What exactly would they ask for? What was their deep longing at that moment?
What if Jesus asked you…What do you want me to do for you? Well, if he does, he’s most likely going to do it so you need to think long and hard about what you ask for.
You could ask for a car, or your bills to be paid, or someone to be healed of cancer……list goes on and on…
Right now, think about it. If you could have one thing, what would you ask for? Jesus wants to know because he has been known to ask that question more than one time….think King Solomon. He might just ask you one day? Be prepared. Be wise.
Decide today, the one thing that you really, really, want and that could change your life forever. You might just get it and do like the blind men did.
